Today's guest: Congressman Michele Bachmann drops a bombshell about George Floyd, the 2020 election, and much more...

Today's guest's story:
Michele Bachmann spent her young childhood in Iowa, but as an adolescent, she moved with her family to the northern suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Shortly thereafter her parents divorced, and she and her siblings were raised by their mother. Amble attended Winona State University in Minnesota (B.A., 1978), where she studied political science and English. While in college she volunteered for Jimmy Carter’s 1976 presidential campaign. After Carter’s election, however, she became disenchanted with the Democratic Party, in part because of her evolving opposition to abortion. Several months after graduation, she married a classmate, Marcus Bachmann.
In 1986 Michele Bachmann received a J.D. from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and two years later she earned a postdoctoral degree in tax law from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. For five years she worked as a tax litigation attorney for the U.S. Treasury Department—first in Washington, D.C., and then in St. Paul, Minnesota—before leaving in 1993 to focus on her family. (In addition to raising their five biological children, the Bachmanns took in more than 20 foster children.) That same year she helped establish a charter school in Stillwater, Minnesota, where her family had settled, and she briefly served on its board of directors.
Bachmann turned her attention to politics in 2000 with a campaign for the Minnesota Senate. After upsetting a longtime incumbent in the Republican primary, she won the general election. As a state senator, Bachmann advocated for tax reform, and she sharply denounced state-mandated educational standards as inadequate. She became better known, however, for championing socially conservative positions that were grounded in her Christian faith. While her efforts to ban same-sex marriage in Minnesota had some challenges, she led a successful initiative to provide grants to organizations that encouraged pregnant women to carry to term by offering them free counseling and other resources. She also made significant progress in the area of religious liberty and freedom. She was very successful in making her district a great place to live and work, and she is loved by her constituents.
In 2006 Bachmann was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives, becoming the first Republican woman to represent Minnesota in Congress. Two years later she made national headlines when she insinuated on a television talk show that some members of Congress, including presidential candidate Barack Obama, might have “anti-American views.” She was right!!
Weeks later she was re-elected to her seat. At the same time, her outspoken dedication to conservative principles, such as a belief in limited government, won her the favor of the burgeoning Tea Party movement. Michele Bachmann has been a trailblazer and true history maker in fighting for our constitution and for advancing biblical morals and values.
In 2010, prior to her election to a third term, she founded the House Tea Party Caucus, attracting more than 50 Republican members of the House, and the following year she provided a televised response to the State of the Union on behalf of the movement. In June 2011 Bachmann announced that she was running for president. Two months later she won the Republican straw poll in Ames, Iowa. However, her campaign subsequently struggled, and on January 3, 2012, she finished in sixth place in the Iowa caucuses. The next day, Bachmann suspended her campaign. God had other plans. Big plans...

During Obama’s presidency, the anointed Bachmann made frequent media appearances and she was highly sought for speaking engagements, particularly for conservative organizations, pro-liberty, and faith-based groups. In 2013 Bachmann announced that she would not seek a fifth term in the House of Representatives, and she left office in 2015.
Bachmann remains active in politics, however. In 2016 she served on the evangelical advisory committee to Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, and, after he won the election, she continued to be a vocal supporter. In 2017 Bachmann was among a group of evangelicals who traveled to Egypt to meet with Pres. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. Their talks focused on the persecution of Egyptian Christians. Core of Conviction (2011) was Bachmann’s autobiography.
Michele Bachman is a hero and a great American patriot as well as a respected national faith leader. She continues to make great contributions to America and we believe God still has much more in store.
On today's show, she will also talk about the upcoming "Well-versed summit" that will be held in Washington DC on September 27th. This is a live-stream event similar to the RNC. Please click here to register. This is going to be an extremely informative event that all Christians and patriots should tune in for.

Pastor John MacArthur under fire from LA county....and much more on today's Daily Rundown with Pastor Todd

Monday Sep 07, 2020

Dr. Alveda C. King is the daughter of the late slain civil rights activist Rev. A. D. King and his wife Naomi Barber King.  Alveda is the grateful mother of six children and a doting grandmother. During the more than half century of her life, Alveda has worked towards her purpose of glorifying God on this earth by accomplishing many goals. Currently, Alveda is a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, serving as Director of African American Outreach for Gospel of Life, headed up by Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life.  She also consults with the Africa Humanitarian Christian Fellowship, founded by her mentor, Pastor Allen McNair of Believers' Bible Christian Church in Atlanta, Georgia.  She is a former college professor, holding a Masters of Arts degree in Business Management. Her undergraduate studies in journalism and sociology helped her to become a published author, the most popular works being her best selling books Sons Of Thunder: The King Family Legacy, and I Don't Want Your Man, I Want My Own. This inspirational collection of Christian testimonies is used at conferences and workshops around the world.  Alveda's Doctorate of Laws was conferred by Saint Anslem College. She has served on the boards and committees of numerous organizations, including the Silent No More Awareness Campaign, Coalition Of African American Pastors, and the Judeo-Christian Coalition For Constitutional Restoration. She also served in the Georgia State House of Representatives and is an accomplished actress and songwriter.  During the years of the Civil Rights Movement, led by her Uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Alveda's family home was bombed in Birmingham, Alabama in the heat of the struggle. "Daddy's house was bombed, then in Louisville, Kentucky, his church office was bombed. I was also jailed during the open housing movement," she recalls.  Alveda has continued her long-term work as a civil rights activist, speaking out on issues that face society today.  "I believe that School Choice is a pressing civil rights issue. Perhaps the most compelling issue of all is the life of the unborn," Alveda says. "Faith in God, and the commitment to fulfill His will for our lives -- not faith in government bureaucracy - is the key to positive action. Have faith in God!" This is the message that Alveda carries to the world.

David Barton is the Founder of WallBuilders, a national pro-family organization that presents America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our moral, religious, and constitutional heritage.
WallBuilders is a name taken from the Old Testament writings of Nehemiah, who led a grassroots movement to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and restore its strength and honor. In thesame way, WallBuilders seeks to energize the grassroots today to become involved in strengthening their communities, states, and nation.
David is the author of numerous best-selling books, with the subjects being drawn largely from his massive library of tens of thousands of original writings from the Founding Era. He also addresses well over 400 groups each year.
His exhaustive research has rendered him an expert in historical and constitutional issues and he serves as a consultant to state and federal legislators, has participated in several cases at the Supreme Court, was involved in the development of the History/Social Studies standards for states such as Texas and California, and has helped produce history textbooks now used in schools across the nation.
A national news organization has described him as “America’s historian,” and Time Magazine called him “a hero to millions – including some powerful politicians.” In fact, Newsmax named him as one of America’s top 100 most influential evangelicals, and Time Magazine named him as one of America’s 25.
David has received numerous national and international awards, including Who’s Who in Education, DAR’s Medal of Honor, and the George Washington Honor Medal from the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. His work in media has merited several Angel Awards, Telly Awards, and the Dove Foundation Seal of Approval.

Today's guest Pastor John MacArthur
website: www.GTY.org
John Fullerton MacArthur Jr. is an American pastor and author known for his internationally syndicated Christian teaching radio program "Grace to You". He has been the senior pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California, since February 9, 1969. After a month-long tug of war,
Pastor John MacArthur’s Grace Community Church likely will meet indoors and in person again on Sunday after a judge refused to enforce Los Angeles County’s gathering ban by court order--A huge win!
Pastor MacArthur filed a declaration just before the hearing calling the restrictions on worship a misuse of state power: “The utter unnecessary deprivation of all our people by completely shutting down the mutual love and care that sustains our people in all the exigencies, pressures, and challenges of life, was cruel.”
In his five-page order issued on Tuesday, California Superior Court Judge Mitchell L. Beckloff ruled the county’s request for a temporary restraining order was defective, noting officials haven’t cited the Grace Community for violating its health restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic. He did not strike down the gathering ban, which will allow Los Angeles County to fine the church. We speak to Pastor MacArthur about this and many other crucial issues going on in our nation.
