The Transformed Mind: A Christian Perspective on Renewal and Growth
In a world filled with constant noise and distractions, the concept of a transformed mind holds profound significance for believers seeking to live out their faith authentically. Rooted in the teachings of Scripture, the transformation of the mind is not merely a superficial change in thought patterns but a profound spiritual renewal that impacts every aspect of our lives. From our attitudes and perspectives to our actions and relationships, a transformed mind enables us to embody the truth and love of Christ in a world desperately in need of His light.
Understanding Transformation:At the heart of Christian faith lies the belief in transformation—a process by which believers are renewed and conformed to the likeness of Christ. This transformation begins with the renewing of our minds, as the Apostle Paul eloquently articulates in Romans 12:2: "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
The Role of Scripture:
Central to the renewal of the mind is the study and meditation on God's Word. The Bible serves as a transformative tool, illuminating our hearts and minds with divine truth and wisdom. As we immerse ourselves in Scripture, allowing its principles to penetrate our thoughts and attitudes, we open ourselves to the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
Cultivating a Transformed Mind:
Practical steps toward cultivating a transformed mind include:
Renewing our Thought Patterns: By actively identifying and challenging negative or ungodly thought patterns, we pave the way for God's truth to take root in our minds. This process involves replacing worldly perspectives with biblical truths, aligning our thinking with God's Word.
Practicing Mindfulness:
Mindfulness, from a Christian perspective, involves intentionally directing our thoughts and attention towards God's presence and truth in every aspect of our lives. By staying mindful of His presence, we cultivate a deeper awareness of His guidance and sovereignty.
Guarding Against Negative Influences:
In a world saturated with messages that contradict God's truth, believers must be vigilant in guarding their minds against negative influences. This may involve limiting exposure to media or content that promotes ungodly values and ideologies, while actively seeking out sources of spiritual nourishment and edification.
The Fruit of Transformation:
The transformation of the mind yields abundant fruit in the life of the believer:
Renewed Perspective:
A transformed mind enables us to see ourselves, others, and the world around us through the lens of God's love and truth. We gain clarity and wisdom in navigating life's challenges and uncertainties, trusting in His providence and sovereignty.
Empowered Living:
With a renewed mind comes a sense of empowerment to live boldly and authentically for Christ. Freed from the constraints of worldly thinking, we are emboldened to pursue God's purposes with passion and conviction, knowing that He equips and empowers us for every good work.
Transformed Relationships:
As our minds are renewed, our relationships are transformed. We approach others with compassion, grace, and humility, reflecting the love of Christ in all our interactions. Our transformed minds enable us to extend forgiveness, show empathy, and build bridges of reconciliation in a fractured world.
The journey towards a transformed mind is not always easy, but it is one of immense significance and reward. As believers, we are called to continually renew our minds, allowing God's truth to shape our thoughts, attitudes, and actions. In doing so, we bear witness to the transformative power of Christ, embodying His love and truth in a world hungering for hope and redemption. May we, therefore, commit ourselves to the pursuit of a transformed mind, knowing that in its renewal lies the pathway to abundant life and eternal significance in Christ.

Can We Stop In-Fighting? | The Todd Coconato Show

Website: www.PastorTodd.org
To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give

I don’t like to argue over doctrinal variances.

We are in such a battle right now and the last thing we need to be doing is arguing over age-old doctrinal variations. I’m not talking about heresy, I’m talking about areas of theological differences in the Body. Matters that are NOT Heaven or hell, salvation issues. We do call out false teachings and things that don’t align with scripture as we are called to do.

Some people believe in women preachers, some don’t.
Some people believe in a pre-trib rapture, some don’t.
Some people believe that Christians can have demons, and some don’t.

We need to take these matters to the Lord. We need to seek His heart on these matters.
There are some things that will always be debated until we go home with the Lord. I am not your enemy if you don’t see completely eye to eye with me in one of these areas. I respect your view.

Dr. Hayford used to say, “Let’s focus on the 98% we agree on rather than the 2% we don’t”.

Right now, we are in a war. We need to stand together. We need to know who the real enemy is. It’s not other believers. We need to stop attacking each other. We can agree to disagree on some of these doctrinal variations. Don’t get distracted. That’s what they want!

While the Bible does not explicitly say, "Do not argue over scripture," it does provide guidance on how believers should approach disagreements and disputes within the body of Christ.

Here are a few relevant passages:

1. 2 Timothy 2:23-24
“Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful."

2. Titus 3:9
“But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless."

3. James 1:19-20
“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires."

4. Romans 14:1
“Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters."

These passages emphasize the importance of avoiding pointless arguments and quarrels over non-essential matters of faith. Instead, believers are encouraged to be kind, patient, and quick to listen, seeking unity and understanding within the body of Christ.

While healthy discussions and debates about scripture can be beneficial for learning and growth, it is crucial to maintain a spirit of humility, love, teachability, and respect towards one another, recognizing that unity in Christ is paramount.

People are always trying to pull me into these different arguments. I’m not going to do it. I am too focused on soul-winning and the real battle at hand. If they want to have a kind discussion, I would love to speak with them. This is not the world, we are the Body of Christ and we need to act like Christ.

“The Prophetic Two-Minute Warning” • Sunday Service
To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give
Website: www.PastorTodd.org
In this pivotal moment of history, we stand on the precipice of a great moment of decision. Things could go one of two ways. It’s not going to be a politician that saves us. The spotlight is on the church.
The Body of Christ is the only buffer to the evil that is being planned and perpetrated right now. We are in a massive spiritual battle of light versus darkness. There is no fence-sitting. We are either hot or cold, in or out.
A great end-time harvest of souls and move of God is at hand, while many wicked plans are also in play. The days, weeks, and months ahead will be intense and unpredictable at times. We must be deeply rooted in our faith and unshakable.
The Spirit of God is moving mightily across the earth, igniting hearts with holy fire and stirring souls with prophetic urgency. As Christians, we are uniquely positioned to discern the signs of the times and to respond with fervent prayer and Holy Spirit empowerment.
The “two-minute warning” has sounded in the realm of the Spirit, signaling the climax of God's redemptive plan and the imminent return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Yet, while we are still here, we must occupy until He comes and get as many people saved, set free, healed, and delivered as possible.
As on the football field, when the two-minute warning is sounded, it means that every second counts. It’s go-time! This is what we have been made for. The best players must be on the field and every move is critical. It’s not a time for weariness, apathy, complacency, doubt, or fear…but rather a time to be sober-minded, discerning, bold, disciplined, focused, spiritually astute, on fire - to get our strategy from Heaven and carry it out with precision!
Just as the early disciples were baptized with the Holy Spirit and fire on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2, so too are we called to be filled afresh, on fire, operating with the power and presence of the Holy Spirit in these last days.
We must trust God and have strong faith.
Despite the many egregious things we are seeing in our nation and world, we also see the evidence of God's hand at work in the world around us – in miraculous signs & wonders, healings, and deliverances, in prophetic revelations and divine encounters, in the outpouring of spiritual gifts and the undercurrent of revival and a great awakening: The Holy Spirit is moving in unprecedented ways, preparing the Bride of Christ for her glorious union with the Bridegroom.
Yet, amidst the signs and wonders, we also discern the many schemes of the enemy seeking to deceive, distract, and divide the body of Christ. Deception is rampant and many are being led astray. We must not be deceived.
We must be vigilant in prayer, discerning of spirits, and anchored in the truth of God's Word. The enemy may roar like a lion, but the Spirit within us is greater, empowering us to stand firm in the face of opposition and to advance the kingdom of God with boldness and authority.
Now is not the time for spiritual lethargy or complacency. Now is the time for hunger, radical obedience, and relentless pursuit of God's presence.
Let us press in deeper, pray with greater fervency, and worship with uninhibited passion.
For the Spirit of the Lord says, "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you" (Ephesians 5:14).
As we embrace our identity as sons and daughters of the Most High God, filled with the Holy Spirit and commissioned for kingdom purpose, let us go forth with confidence and courage.
Let us be vessels of revival and transformation, carrying the fire of God's love to the ends of the earth.
For the prophetic two-minute warning is sounding, and the Bridegroom is coming soon. Maranatha! Come, Lord Jesus, come!
It’s the two minute warning. ⚠️ Are you all in?
Amen

Brothers and sisters in Christ, today we stand at the precipice of a world that increasingly seeks to undermine the authority of the Gospel and dilute the potency of our faith. In this age, marked by secular ideologies and demonic influences, it's crucial that we, as followers of Christ, understand the times and know what we ought to do. The Word of God is not silent about these days; it forewarns us, equips us, and empowers us to stand firm in our authority as believers. Let us delve into the Scriptures, drawing from the New King James Version, to uncover the truth and the power we hold in declaring the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ.
As we navigate the complexities of this age, marked by secular and demonic attempts to dilute the Gospel's authority, let us remember that we stand on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. Our foundation is unshakeable, our authority is unbreakable, and our victory is undeniable. Let us hold fast to the truth, walk in the Spirit, unite in prayer, engage in spiritual warfare, and witness with boldness, for we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. The secular and demonic forces have no hold on us; we are anchored in Christ, and in Him, we shall not be moved.

Pressing Ahead Through Trials and Tribulations | The Todd Coconato Show
Website: www.PastorTodd.org
To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give
The Apostle Paul writes in Philippians 3:13-14, "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Here, Paul speaks to the essence of our Christian journey – a continuous pressing forward, a striving towards the call and purpose God has placed upon our lives, despite the past or the obstacles that lie in our path.
In Romans 5:3-4, we find encouragement in suffering, "And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope." These words remind us that our trials are not in vain; they are the very process by which God shapes us into vessels of His hope and light.
James 1:2-4 echoes this sentiment, urging us, "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." It is through steadfast faith and patience that we are made complete in Christ, fully equipped for every good work.
But how do we navigate these trials? The Psalmist gives us a beautiful image of God's guidance and comfort in Psalm 23:4, "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." In the midst of our darkest valleys, God is with us, His rod and staff guiding and comforting us, reminding us that we are never alone.
Our Lord Jesus Himself assures us of peace amidst tribulation in John 16:33, saying, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." In Christ, we have a peace that transcends understanding, a peace that enables us to remain joyful and courageous, even when faced with life's storms.
The call to be steadfast in faith is further emphasized in 1 Corinthians 15:58, "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." Our perseverance in faith and good works is never futile; it has eternal significance and reward.
In 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, Paul speaks to the resilience of the believer, "We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed." This passage is a powerful testament to the resilience that we have through Christ. Despite the pressures and challenges we face, we are never abandoned by God; His grace sustains us, enabling us to rise again, stronger and more determined.
The strength to press ahead also comes from the assurance of God's unfailing love and faithfulness, as declared in Lamentations 3:22-23, "Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness." Every day, we are recipients of God's new mercies, a reminder that with each sunrise comes fresh strength and hope for the journey.
Hebrews 12:1-2 exhorts us to run with endurance the race set before us, "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith." Jesus is not only our example but also the source of our strength and the one who perfects our faith as we keep our eyes fixed on Him.
Finally, in Isaiah 40:31, we find the promise of renewed strength for those who hope in the Lord, "But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint." This verse assures us that in waiting upon the Lord, in trusting Him through every season of our lives, He renews our strength, enabling us to soar above the challenges, to run without growing weary, and to walk without fainting.
Brothers and sisters, as we face the tests and trials of life, let us remember that we do not do so in our own strength, but in the strength that God provides. Let us press ahead, not with fear or hesitation, but with confidence and hope, knowing that our God is with us, guiding us through every challenge, and leading us into victory.
May we go forth in this assurance, pressing ahead with faith, and looking unto Jesus, the perfecter of our faith, who leads us on to glory.
